They Say, I Say Chapter 5 Exercise 1

Charlip begins her rhetoric off with a reference to Marx and Engels. She makes this reference very boldly but comes away from it smoothly as to make it fit. The next opinion reference she makes is to a sociology professor and his opinion on the class. The way she enters it was smooth and so was the follow through. Charlip also then makes a reference to what her father might believe. I like the way she makes references to opinions. The three she made in this piece were done in completely different ways but still fit the style and format of it. There weren't any real obvious signal phrases used other than a colon used for the first two references.
